I cultivated Impatiens balsam, a flower Korean women have used to dye their nails, symbolizing resistance and first love. I explore my connection to these flowers and examine traditions, technology, and acts of care toward women and non-human beings.

Terracotta pots with my nail marks as coffins and homes for one-year-lived flowers, inspired by the forms of dead animals and fetuses. These flowers grew in my studio and gallery through winter, sustained by artificial light and my care.
