Broken Balloon

A balloon is always temporary, and if it loses its air, it loses its form. However, instead of the balloon losing its life force in such a way, I desired to see the inflated balloon retain its form, even if in the form of broken shards of glass. If a balloon were to shatter like glass, I would be able to reassemble the broken shards and once again experience its original form. In an effort to reassemble the shattered glass, I picked it up and glued it in place as I found it, in the process creating new forms from the glass.
